Steph Curry Mentors NBA Prospect Scoot Henderson

For all you hoop heads out there, let me give you the scoop on a player you should definitely keep an eye on. Scoot Henderson, the cream of the crop in this year’s NBA prospect class, is making moves and getting prepped for the big leagues. He recently worked out with none other than Steph Curry at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.

Curry, who has been known to take under his wing young NBA hopefuls, was more than happy to lend his mentorship to the G League standout. The duo was seen at Stanford’s gym, sinking shots with Coach Curry’s training staff from Accelerate Basketball.

Henderson, who averaged 16.5 points, 6.5 assists, 5.4 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game with the Ignite team, looks to be a hot commodity top of the mock drafts. While France’s Victor Wembanyama currently takes the top spot in the rankings, Henderson has been receiving plenty of buzz that could very well lead to being drafted within the first few rounds.

And we won’t have to wait long to see the magic unfold. The 2023 NBA draft is scheduled for June 22nd and is going down in Brooklyn, New York. Will he make it to the top of the list? Only time will tell, but by the looks of this workout video, I’d say he’s definitely got a fighting chance.

You can see why Curry took Henderson under his wing. The young baller has some serious skills on the court. But it takes more than just talent to make it in the NBA. The reigning league MVP has been training Henderson mentally and emotionally for the big stage since the two first met.

The bottom line is, when the two guard geniuses got together for this workout, there was no shortage of buzz surrounding the event. It’s always exciting to see some of the best basketball minds working together.

Henderson’s confidence and perseverance truly shone in his workout with the Golden State Warrior. He’s got all the makings of a future NBA All-Star, and watching him put in the time and effort with Curry shows just how serious and committed he is to achieving his dreams.

Seeing the footage of two hoops giants going at it — even if it was just a workout — is enough to give anyone chills. But perhaps what’s most impressive is seeing how seriously both athletes take this training. Shots don’t just go through the hoop without hard work.

What a sight it must have been seeing both Henderson and Curry, two players on opposite ends of their careers but still united by their love of the game, sweating it out to make big moves in the sport they both cherish.

It’s not every day that NBA fans get a peek into the behind-the-scenes training that occurs before a player takes his game to the next level. The bond between these two players is inspiring. It goes to show that, even at the highest level of sports, it takes a village to raise a champion.

I, for one, cannot wait to see how this young guard transitions into the big leagues. Another Curry in the league? It could happen, and seeing Curry helping someone get there is even more special.

The NBA is chock-full of talent, but distinguishing yourself in such a rigorous environment is no easy feat. Henderson, with the help of his mentor Curry, his undeniable talent, and his resolute mindset, is on the right track.

This isn’t a story about a mentor helping his mentee. It’s a story about friendship, respect, and admiration between two greats of the game. Who knows where Henderson will end up in five years, but one thing’s for sure: he’s learning from one of the best.

It’s exciting to be a fan of the NBA right now, with so many aspirational young athletes making their way to the pros. Henderson just might be the newest names to take your breath away with some jaw-dropping moves on the court in the near future.

So whether you’re a Warriors fan who can’t wait to see the two unite on the court again someday, or a fan of the league who is just excited about the future of basketball, keep an eye on Scoot Henderson. He’s a player we’ll all be talking about very soon.
