Today, Iranian-backed forces fired approximately seven rockets aimed at a U.S. base in Northeast Syria, in what appears to be a retaliatory act against the U.S., as confirmed by a defense official to Fox News. Initial assessments indicate no U.S. casualties or damage to the base situated near the Al-Omar oil field.

This rocket attack follows a series of U.S. retaliatory strikes ordered by President Biden, in response to a suspected Iranian-made drone attack that resulted in the death of a U.S. contractor and injuries to six other Americans on Thursday. It is reported that the U.S. strikes led to the deaths of eight Iranians.
The Department of Defense announced on Thursday that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps was responsible for crashing a UAV into a building close to Hasakah, in northeast Syria, at around 1:38 p.m. local time. This incident left one U.S. contractor dead, five U.S. service members, and another U.S. contractor injured.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, an opposition war monitor, stated that two of the American strikes resulted in the deaths of at least eight Iranian fighters. A U.S. airstrike targeting an arms depot in Harabesh, located in the eastern city of Deir el-Zour, claimed the lives of six Iranian-backed fighters.
Furthermore, a second U.S. attack near the town of Mayadeen resulted in the deaths of two more fighters, as reported by the Observatory, which relies on local Syrian contacts for its information.

U.S. intelligence determined that the UAV which crashed into a coalition base and killed a U.S. contractor was of Iranian origin. Consequently, President Biden authorized the military to retaliate, according to the Pentagon.
Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III stated, “At the direction of President Biden, I authorized U.S. Central Command forces to conduct precision airstrikes tonight in eastern Syria against facilities used by groups affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC). The airstrikes were conducted in response to today’s attack as well as a series of recent attacks against Coalition forces in Syria by groups affiliated with the IRGC.”

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported an additional American strike on a military post near the town of Boukamal, close to the Iraq border. This report has not been independently verified.
Following the initial attack, three service members and the U.S. contractor who sustained injuries were medically evacuated to Coalition medical facilities in Iraq, while the other two injured service members received treatment on-site.
Senator, it's not just that, you forgot the drone attack in Syria that killed and wounded American citizens and soldiers. And that the US only defends itself against the action taken, and America's fear of any action is quite clear. The American army has never been so cowardly.

Secretary Austin emphasized, “As President Biden has made clear, we will take all necessary measures to defend our people and will always respond at a time and place of our choosing. No group will strike our troops with impunity.” He also expressed condolences to the family and colleagues of the killed contractor and offered his thoughts to those injured in the attack.
The Pentagon stated that the U.S. took “proportionate and deliberate action,” limiting the risk of escalation in its targeted response. There are currently around 900 U.S. troops stationed in Syria.

Looks like the US got its excuse to increase its presence in Syria. Congress recently had a chance to end the bullshit and pull troops from Syria. They refused. Business as usual when it comes to supporting defense contractors with blood…

Hey remember that vote in congress a couple that weeks to pull our troops out of Syria? Maybe that would have been a good idea. https://t.co/opJpRGxTaO
