Republican candidate for Michigan Governor, Ryan Kelley has been arrested by the FBI for a January 6th misdemeanor.

After Kelley was arrested search warrants were executed on his home near Grand Rapids. He will make his first court appearance on Thursday.

The candidate was charged with one of the following misdemeanors: knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds; knowingly engaging in any act of physical violence against a person or property in any restricted building or grounds; willfully injure or commit any depredation against any property of the United States.

None of these crimes tend to bear any type of conspiratorial nature. Likely Kelley was arrested for entering the Capitol or remaining on Capitol grounds after instruction to leave. In other words, trespassing on government property.

So why is the FBI executing a search warrant on Kelley’s house? More importantly, why are they arresting the politician almost a year and a half after his “crime” was allegedly committed?

The arrest was carried out on the exact same day that the January 6th committee is set to hold prime time hearings. This is political persecution.
