60% Of Abortion Clinics Have Closed In States With Bans

Pro-abortion activists are constantly claiming that abortion clinics “aren’t just for abortions” they provide all kinds of great services outside of pregnancy termination.

Some leftists might even claim that abortion isn’t the primary function of these clinics like planned parenthood. This is obviously not the case. After Roe v. Wade was overturned, 60% of clinics offering abortions in red states closed down according to Axios.

Axios reported, Since the court’s ruling, 14 states in total have moved to ban nearly all abortions or restrict access to them. In total, at least 26 states are “certain or likely” to ban abortion now that Roe is no longer in place — and more clinics are expected to close.

Planned Parenthood defenders often claim that the majority of revenue that the organization brings in actually comes from the provision of other services. It now seems evident that this is not the case at all.

Prior to the ruling, in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Texas there were a total of 72 clinics, now only 28 remain.

Texas has the most closures with a whopping 23 as this State has one of the most unique, and one of the most strict laws regarding abortion.
